Parrot Heads are a non-profit national organization of people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffet and the tropical lifestyle he personifies. Our mission is to assist in community and environmental concerns. We provide a variety of social activities to raise funds used to promote the general welfare of our community.
Meet the Pleasure Island Parrot Heads
The Pleasure Island Parrot Heads organization was founded in 1998 by Dave and Laura Lee Kendziorato to serve the Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Wilmington and surrounding areas. We are a bunch of crazy people who enjoy having a blast while helping our community.

Our members come from all walks of life. We are bartenders to small business owners, doctors to computer geeks, secretaries and community leaders – you’ll find all of us here. We have business meetings as well as socials, and we actually have fun while working at community events that will benefit our community.
Our community events are held all throughout the year. Christmas in July brings joy to children in the Wilmington that are hospitalized with long term illness. Over the years the Pleasure Island Parrot Heads have sponsored events such as the Spring Fling and the Fall Beach Sweep. Communuty service brings members together in Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Wilmington, North Carolina together for social, charitable, and educational purposes.
